About AASW 2026

The AIIMS Annual Spine Workshop (AASW) is a flagship academic program organized by the Department of Neurosurgery, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, scheduled to be held from 20th to 22nd August 2026. The workshop is designed as an immersive and comprehensive learning platform aimed at advancing education and skill development in modern spine surgery.

AASW follows an innovative 360-degree educational approach, integrating didactic lectures, simulation-based learning, cadaveric dissection, and live operative demonstrations to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and surgical execution. The program provides structured, hands-on exposure to contemporary spinal techniques, with a strong emphasis on minimally invasive spine surgery, advanced endoscopic procedures, spinal deformity correction, and evidence-based decision-making in complex spinal disorders.

The workshop will feature eminent national and international faculty, who will share their expertise through interactive lectures, cadaveric training sessions, and operative demonstrations. This year's workshop will focus on Unilateral Bi-portal Endoscopic (UBE) Spine Surgery and Scoliosis / Spinal Deformity Surgery, in alignment with the central theme of Advancing Excellence in Modern Spine Surgery.The program emphasizes contemporary minimally invasive techniques, deformity correction strategies, and practical decision-making in complex spine surgery.

The workshop will feature world-renowned national and international faculty, who will demonstrate advanced surgical techniques through hands-on cadaveric sessions and operative procedures.
